Fey Real?

While trying to watch last week's episode of High School Musical Get in the Picture on our DVR we were incensed to learn that half of the recording was tainted with some GOP political hoopla from Minnesota. Angry and disappointed we were about to delete said recording when we paused at the sight of what appeared to be Saturday Night Live actress and writer Tina Fey giving some speech about how John McCain represented political change. Confused by such a statement and by the face that spoke it we soon learned that the delerious woman was the now well known governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin.

All political opinions aside who would you rather have as Vice President, the republican governess of the state with the largest protected oil fields in the US, or the writer/producer of Mean Girls? Well we actually don't really care we just vote for a very fabulous SNL skit. Please please please? Because really-that is the most we can hope for.

Changing of the tide

So yesterday was a rather eventful day for all of the men in my life. Tyler started dental school, Trent started COLLEGE...wha?, Danny started seventh grade...double wha?? and Brandon didn't start school at all because he is a big graduate. I am so proud of these wonderful men. They are all incredible examples to me in countless ways. I am so happy to have them in my life and I am excited to watch all of the amazing things they are going to accomplish in their lives. Love you boys!

A little fall quote...because we love fall

"There is a harmony in autumn, and a lustre in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as if it had not been!"

Finally!

So I tried and tried but I cant help myself. I have to post about it.... Breaking Dawn is finally here!! I am ridiculously in love and obsessed as I know many of you are as well with the Twilight books. I just re-read the books in preparation for the final one...and I cannot wait to get home from work today and tear into it. So...I just want to hear everyones predictions... what is going to happen? I swear I will hunt you down and kill you if you have already started and/or read the book and you give anything away. Seriously. I will. Don't test me on this. But anyways- before you dive into your books I want everyones predictions!

Here is mine...or at least what I am hoping for.

1. Bella and Edward get married
2. Jacob imprints on someone else
3. Bella is jealous and dumb as usual but then gets over it
4. Bella gets turned into vampire
5. Bella has some super power that keeps her mind from going all weird when she gets turned, so she doesn't have the whole new born blood lust murderous problem...that is her super power thing (or something along those lines)
6. Everyone lives happily ever after because that is how Stephenie Meyer likes it

So there you have it. My hopes/prediction. What do you think?

Real Life...Again

Well the time has come. I knew it was bound to happen, I just sort of hoped I could maybe not get a job and we could just live off the land or something like that. But Tyler didn't think I would make a good farmer or scavenger. So I got a job. I have approximately 48 hours to enjoy the remainder of my responsibility free life. I will be working at OHSU in the hospital doing administration. My only consolation is that it cannot possibly suck more than my last job. And I do not have to wear nylons every day. So with that I think I will go mope by my pool for the rest of the day. I am going to do my best not to drown myself. Isn't it strange how I was so desperate to get a job and now that I have one I am desperate not to? I am just so fickle. Well I'm off...you know where to find me.
